Im Not Going To Stop

"The doctor said I didnt only have a dietary protien deficiency but something worse. I had developed a bone disease called rickets."

With the horrible ration of  food being given to people who were able to affor food in the war Emma had developed a dietary disease. She had also developed rickets a bone disease because dancing only made thigns worse for her. It didnt help her get anybetter from her food problem. I think this moment is significant because it shows how much Emma loves dancing. She doesnt care what happens to her , she'll keep dancing. Disease or not she knows that her gift is special and she doesnt intend on waisting it. Emma loved dancing so much that  even with the doctor , and her own mother telling her not to dance anymore she still said no to them. That she was gunna keep dancing even if it kills her.

Its not the end.

"The wall behind me had cracked open with a tearing sound and rubble poured through a jagged opening. There was no question now ------ the building had been hit."

One day when Emma was walking home from school there had been a bomb surprise attack near from where she was walking. All the buildings she tried to go in were locked. The shelters that were built had been full or no one was willing to open the door for her. Finally when she ran to a building pounding and puonding on the dorr an old man opened the door and let her in and took her to the basement were his family was. But a bomb had been to close and hit the building they thought that they were safe in. Emma was terrified knowing the building she had been hit. Knowing that she wasnt with her mother scared her , but the thought of not being able to dance anymore if she would die on the spot scared her the most. This is significant because knowing that how dangerous it was getting in the war Emma still went to dance practices until they were canceled.

Its only the truth.

"My father had told me that you could get away with lying once , but eventually you were inevitably caught at it."

Emma had lied to her parents because she didnt want them to find out that she had gone to a dance practice  that they had said no to because she had gotten introuble at school. They had told her that they understood that practice was so important to her but she had to atleast tell the truth on where she was going so that they would know that she was safe where ever she was at at the time. Then she had lied to her parents again saying she was with her bestfriend marcella but she really was at practive. And this moment is significant because it is true you can lie as many times as you want but eventually your going to get cought in your own lies.

It My Year

"I didnt believe that at all. This years Puppenfee was n ot going to be like any other Puppenfee. This was my Puppenfee."

Emma had gotten the lead role in a play that she has been dying to be in since she was a little girl. It was a dream for her to be in it , but instead of just being in it she was going to be the lead role in the play. This is a significant moment because after all of Emmas hard work , she finally got to be in a play. But she also got to be the lead role in the play. And knowing that it was going to be "her" play.

I Can

"There is no such thing as i cant."-66

In the book As the Walts Was Ending a girl named Emma was a dancer. She had a gift for dancing. She loved to dance so much , dancing was just her life she wanted nuthing more then to dance. When she had made it to a private proffesional dance school she had gotten frustrated because she couldnt get a dance move called on point in english. When her teacher came to her and told her "theres no such thing as i cant" Emma had taken that to her heart. This is a signifacant moment because when her teacher said that to her Emma took it to the heart and didnt let anything bring her down or get in her way of dancing.
